The purpose of the West Central Security Program is to reimburse West Central homeowners for investments made to improve the security and lighting of their property, and discourage theft and crime. There are 3 things that can be purchased under the Home Security Program:
- Exterior security cameras / doorbell cameras
- Exterior security lighting
- Package delivery receptacle
The lights and cameras can be placed anywhere on the exterior perimeter of your home, garage, or carriage house. The package delivery box can be placed anywhere outside your home that is visible from a public sidewalk. It does not need to be a locking box.
The program is limited to one application per resident, but may include a combination of all of the above items for a maximum payout of $190 per household.
The West Central Neighborhood Association may reimburse member residents the following:
- 50% co-op up to $40 for the purchase and installation of exterior security lighting.
- 50% co-op up to $100 for the purchase and installation of exterior security camera(s) or doorbell camera.
- 50% co-op up to $50 for the purchase and placement of a package delivery receptacle.
Eligible expenses must meet the following criteria:
1. A matching receipt must be submitted with the application or prior to approval. Please email your receipt to info@westcentralneighborhood.org after you apply.
2. Proof of installation/placement is required (email us a photo).
3. All purchases must have occurred in the current calendar year, with the exception of December purchases, which can be reimbursed until the end of January of the following calendar year.
4. Exterior lighting deemed solely decorative in nature will not be eligible.
5. Only one property per owner per year is eligible for funds. The property must be located within the West Central Association boundaries.
Please note that funds are limited and may run out at any point without warning. The WCNA board may deny any application at any time for any reason.
To apply, please complete the application below and email us a copy of your receipt and photo evidence. The program is open to all current dues-paying members of the West Central Neighborhood Association.
