March, 2024 – Egg Hunt
(Date and time will be announced via email and in the Beyond Porch Parties Facebook group.) You’re invited to the 5th annual WCNA Egg Hunt! This event is open to all kids who live in West Central. Bring a basket and hunt some treat-filled eggs! We’ll have 3 different areas for the hunt based on age: 0-3 years old, 4-6 years old, and 7+. Eggs will be filled with individually wrapped candy, stickers, and temporary tattoos. The eggs go FAST, so don’t be late! If it rains, keep an eye on our Facebook page for a reschedule announcement. April 28 @ 4pm – Safety Sunday
Our first Safety Sunday! Head outdoors at 4pm to meet your neighbors and swap contact info. Click here for more details.
May 4 @ 9am-12pm – Neighborhood Cleanup and TV/Tire Collection Day
Join us as we tidy up our neighborhood, including picking up trash, trimming bushes, clearing debris from alleyways, and more. Meet at the corner of Wilt and Van Buren. We will provide gloves, trash grabbers, loppers, trash bags, and more.
June 7-9, 2024 – Neighborhood Yard Sales
Join us for a weekend of yard sales all around West Central. You never know what hidden treasures you’ll find and deals you’ll get on antiques and art! Homeowners make their own hours. The best stuff goes early!
July 20, 2024 @ 11am-2pm – Neighborhood Block Party
Food, games, bounce houses, and prizes for the kids. This annual event is held at Moody Park and is open to all residents of the West Central neighborhood.
September 4, 2024 – Neighborhood Cleanup (Tentative)
Let’s spruce up the neighborhood before the Home & Garden Tour!
September 6, 2024 @ 6pm – Pre-Tour Party (Tentative)
The pre-tour party is open to all Home & Garden Tour volunteers, sponsors, and homeowners. This event is our way of saying thank you!
September 7-8, 2024 – Home & Garden Tour and ArtsFest
Join us for our annual home and garden tour! Check out the Home & Garden Tour Info page for details. Buy tickets, or attend ArtsFest for free, where you’ll find arts and crafts vendors and live music.
September 28, 2024 @ 7:30pm – Movie in the Park
Bring your blankets and friends – we’re hosting a family-friendly movie night at Moody Park! The movie choice is TBA. It will be projected onto a screen and will start at 7:30pm sharp. Popcorn will be provided to the first 25 movie-goers! The event is open to all residents of West Central (and their kids/grandkids).
