Happy New Year Neighbors!
It’s another grand day in the ol’ West End Neighborhood.
This will be a short letter since I wasn’t able to attend March’s membership meeting. Yours truly got hit with the perfect storm of Spring Break and a line of storms through the Midwest and Northeast and was stuck in Florida for nearly 4 extra days. Who schedules a business meeting in Orlando during Spring Break?? On the bright side, I got to visit some friends and neighbors in Fort Lauderdale – make lemonade from lemons.
A big thanks to our VP, Kelly Benton, for covering leadership of the meeting in my absence. She was also our “Yesterday in West Central” speaker, showcasing all the famous neighbors we’ve had over the decades. You can find that presentation and most other meeting slide decks on our website under the meeting minutes folder.
Don’t forget, this Sunday (March 29th) is the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Moody Park. The hunt will begin at 4 pm. As always, there are separate areas for different age groups of children to try and even the playing field. Sorry, no adult section at this event!
It’s that time of year again! Time to start talking about the West Central Home & Garden Tour. The home tour committee is starting its search for tour stops for this our 44th year. Please consider volunteering your home or garden. As a 2-timer, it’s really fun and is great motivation to finally finish partial projects! Plus we have wonderful volunteers who are creating havens for owners looking for a place to roost during tour hours.
