In 2024, it took a whopping 175 volunteers to act as docents for the 10 homes on our tour! We need your help to make the each and every West Central Home & Garden Tour and ArtsFest a success!
What does the job entail?
It’s an easy one! Volunteers agree to work a 3-hour shift as a tour stop docent. You may be positioned at the entrance to a home where you’ll greet guests and mark their tickets, or you might be inside telling people about the home and keeping a general eye on things.
We welcome docents of all backgrounds and physical abilities. If you need to sit during your shift, please bring a chair or stool. We have indoor air-conditioned locations and outdoor shaded locations too.
Every volunteer receives a free ticket to the home and garden tour for each shift they work.
How do I sign up?
We are not currently accepting volunteers. Sign up for our email list to be notified when the volunteer sign up sheet is live for 2025.
Interested in helping to plan the Home and Garden Tour?
The Home Tour Committee holds monthly meetings starting in the spring to plan and execute this amazing event. If you would like to get involved with next year’s home tour, we would love to have you attend our meetings. We can find a job for everyone, big or small.
