Beginnings: The West Central Neighborhood Association (WCNA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that began in 1969 to solve problems and to promote improvements and social welfare in West Central.
Mission: The mission of the WCNA is to enhance the environment of the West Central neighborhood by improving the quality of urban life for its residents, business owners, and visitors. It is committed to the preservation of diverse neighborhood assets as well as economic and partnership development.
Vision: The vision of the West Central Neighborhood Association (WCNA) is to create a friendly environment that is rich in history, culture, diversity, and community and that is valued by its residents, business owners, and visitors.
Meetings: The WCNA holds regular monthly meetings on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM. Meetings are held in the Wellspring Interfaith Social Services Bldg located at 1316 Broadway.
Membership: Membership in the WCNA is open to anyone 18 years of age and older who supports the mission of the organization. You need not be a resident of West Central to apply. Contributions to the WCNA are tax-deductible in accordance with IRS Code regulations. The WCNA is a tax-exempt, non-profit, educational and charitable organization under state and federal laws.
