meeting when weather is nicer and then plan on a door-to-door campaign
OLD BUSINESS

No meeting in 2009 to date

WCNA CHDO is simply a “pass through” for funds
with no ties to financial issues
·
Will need to hire consultants to formulate plan
for Area 3
·
Emmanuel will pay and then be reimbursed

City will give money to WCNA – CHDO and then
will be reimbursed to Emmanuel

No RFP has been done yet

Deal fell through, so WCNA still owns the home

Neighborhood Stabilization

$7,000,000 to come in with primary focus for

NEW BUSINESS

Traffic study with City’s recommendation has
been put on hold

Shan Gunawardena will
be invited to address the issue of the City’s recommendation as well as
alternatives raised by the Plan Committee

Demolition

Suggestion by Scott Greider
at Plan Committee meeting to ask the City for notification before demolition of
homes in West Central

Demo permit is obtained within 24 hours

City has to verify that the home is not located
in an historic district

According to the City, we are set up as we

Recommendation was made to separate the CHDO
activities from the regular West Central Board

o Coming up in May – will need to complete application

o No reason to have 100% profit
o The tour needs more sponsors – should try to include more business properties
o Discussion was held as to paying for odds and ends (balloons, plants, etc.) and suggestion was made that perhaps some sponsors could be found to contribute smaller amounts than normal sponsorship fee – this would help offset cost of materials and items needed in conjunction to the tour
