Motion made to
give Pat Opper an Honorary Membership for one-year
for work completed on behalf of WCNA; she also recently donated $30 for an Ad
in newsletter; seconded & approved.

Membership: Total = 74: Breakdown = 21 seniors; 40 individuals;
5 organizations, 8 businesses

be at Feb. assoc. meeting to discuss proposed Downtown Design Standards

Tour Committee

Next month will
be first meeting. February 23, at 7 p.m. location will be Soups, Salads &
Spirits on Calhoun Street.
EXISTING BUSINESS

CHDO Projects
o
No longer requirement to use city contractors
o
1220 Stophlet Street

If we go with a different CHDO in 2010; can we look to get a guarantee from
the city that they won’t demo this house as we may look to make it a 2011
project – will continue discussions.
o
825 W. Washington Blvd.; continue discussions with Heather from the city
(city owns it).
o
Currently a duplex – need to understand requirements around single family.
o
What are options if we didn’t go with CHDO project – discussing with
Heather.
o
Sell-ability is an increased risk
o
John will look to get board members a tour of house prior to next Board
meeting.
o
Board need to determine if we want to propose another CHDO project. Will look to find another expert in field –
still researching and discussing options.

Deed updated w/attachment and re-recorded by Al Hofer.
o
Will ask Jill Downs to contact city to verify if they have received
anything so we can move forward with developer fee.
o
Review closing statement to determine if additional fees paid for closing
on attorney fees; Al reviewed and does not appear to have any additional fees.
o
New countertop is not installed; Mike Anderson will continue to stay on
top of this through completion.

Zoning Issues
o
Henry’s Restaurant – 15 x 45 on west side of building as an outdoor deck.
Attorney for restaurant owners are asking for our support. – John signed
letter.
o
802 W. Washington Blvd.

Owner asking for reduction parking requirements from 6 spaces to 4
spaces.
§
Owner was at the January Zoning meeting; and Zoning Board carried item
over to next month.
§
WCNA is not being asked to take a position of support. If later asked to support; discuss option to make
stipulation of not parking car(s) in park strip next to ARCH carriage house.

Understand Boards interaction and involvement with our
committees.

Motion, Chris Ruckman made motion to have a letter
of support from Board on restoring no-parking signs: second by Mike Walsh; all
approved.

documentation.

Everyone in agreement if any WCNA sensitive information is removed.

Fitness Center @ St. Joe Hospital
o
Representative from St. Joe will be attending March WCNA Association
Meeting to discuss new facility.
